how to expose a website or blog

So I start this blog...now what?
The problem with this thing is that someone has to find you. How would someone find me on the World Wide Web? It's like finding a needle in a haystack. I keep reading up on the subject of popularizing a blog or a web site. It just seems that the deeper I read, the more I feel like I'm caught in a chapter of Charlotte's Web and I can't get out.
So far, I think that it all comes down to the words. Words used by the Internet user to find what they need, the search engine that process those words and link that user to a site of interest. And the web or blog owner that use words to attract search engines and in turn the public. Just a bunch of words. Problem is that then there are those keywords...where to put them....how to use them...? Lets not forget "Tags" What the hell is a meta tag?
Okay, l'll take it one step at a time. Today I know that content plays an important role in a popular website or blog. Which is more than I knew yesterday. Live and learn.

What is this?

What's with the supermarket asking their customers for donations? I can barely pay for the food I'm buying and they're asking for a donation. Out loud! So everyone in line has to know... I'm either cheap or broke.

One way bail-out

The jobs are out there…way out there…over the boarders and over seas.
Before you start pounding my politically incorrect verbiage, let me just take a moment and apologize for my greed. That being said I still need a job. The reality of the matter is that government has bailed out huge industries without ever making them accountable. A simple stipulation, “bring the jobs home” would have put thousands of Americans to work. I would love to hear from those who believe that these large companies ship our jobs over seas for humanitarian reasons. Maybe, I could accept the capitalistic mentality of these companies if the American people weren’t flipping the bill. But when our government steps in, hands them billions of dollars and allows for them to take the jobs out of the country in the name of capitalism I question the stupidity.
I’ve heard the pundits, their explanation of an economical collapse had the government not gone forward with the bail-out. I also hear them say that the investment on these failing companies would in turn trickle down to the citizens. Well, they call it trickle. I call it peeing on our leg.
Life is a simple game of give and take, the balance between the two is what makes us or breaks us. We gave, you took…get it? Now you have to give or the game is over.

Who paid for Michael Jacksons Memorial

Let me say that I love Michael Jackson and my heart goes out to his family. But....
did you hear the staggering cost to the City of LA for the Michael Jackson Memorial? CNN reported $1.4 million. I was just wondering why Los Angeles, which is in a debt in excess of $500 million, would take it upon itself to flip the bill?
Got an answer? Please?

A mothers ashes

A friend called the cemetery to make arrangements for mom's ashes. The representative suggested burial. When asked for a quote, she was given a price for burial and an extra charge for digging and filling. Some things should just be all inclusive.
